Mo Abudu once again puts Africa in the global space as she announces British Actor, Idris Elba as the director of her film ‘Dust to Dreams‘. The media mogul announced the big news on March 19th, 2024.
The film is a collaboration between Mo Abudu’s Ebony Life Films and Africa Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) through its creative Africa Nexus (Canex).
She took to Instagram to announce this news that says
“Teaming up with Afreximbank, EbonyLife Films proudly presents “Dust to Dreams” – a mesmerizing short film created by yours truly, adapted by the brilliant Idris Elba, and set to be directed by none other than the incomparable Idris Elba himself! Set against the vibrant tapestry of Lagos, Nigeria, this tale of love and discovery is sure to touch your soul.”
‘Dust to Dreams’ created by Mo Abudu and directed by Idris Elba is a film set in Lagos that follows the relationship between a mother and teenage daughter as she meets her father for the first time.
Veteran Nollywood actress, Nse Ikpe Etim, Eku Edewor, and Constance Olatunde were also announced as cast in the highly anticipated film.
As ‘Dust to Dream is set to take center stage on screens around the world, this solidifies Mo Abudu as a pioneering force in the African Movie industry.
