Ikechukwu Nnadi, a well-known figure in the Nigerian film industry, popularly known as Andy Best, has reportedly passed away.
According to reports, Nnadi breathed his last at a private clinic located in Owerri, the capital city of Imo State, on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
Confirmation of Nnadi’s demise came from Mr. Seun Oloketuyi, the organizer of the Best of Nollywood awards. Oloketuyi took to his Instagram page to announce the tragic news, stating, “Andy Best, a top Nollywood producer and marketer, is dead. He died in an Owerri hospital today.”
Until his passing, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Andy Best Production, overseeing the creation of renowned films such as Lion of Africa, White Poison, My Father’s Cup, and others.
He originated from Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
Nnadi’s untimely death has sent shockwaves through the Nigerian film community, with tributes pouring in from colleagues, fans, and industry insiders. His contributions to Nollywood will undoubtedly be remembered and cherished.
