In a landmark moment at the annual Women in Business, Management, and Public Service (WIMBIZ) conference, media personality Tosin Ajibade, the brain behind the blog Olorisupergal, clinched the one-million-naira prize awarded by Unilever Nigeria as part of their centenary celebrations.
Unilever Nigeria’s commitment to women’s empowerment and the acknowledgment of their centenary formed the backdrop for this substantial award, which was revealed by Folake Ogundipe, the National Finance Director, during the conference.
Folake Ogundipe expressed Unilever’s dedication to supporting and celebrating women at the WIMBIZ conference, stating, “We are at WIMBIZ to show our commitment to women, and to celebrate our centenary anniversary, we are giving out N1 million to a lucky woman present in this hall.”
Graciously accepting the cash prize, an elated Tosin Ajibade expressed her surprise and gratitude, saying, “I really appreciate this. Thank you WIMBIZ; thank you, Unilever. This was so unexpected.”
WIMBIZ, an acronym for Women in Business, Management, and Public Service, is a non-profit organization in Nigeria dedicated to advocating for and empowering women in various professional fields through networking, mentoring, and skill-building initiatives.
