Former coach of the Nigerian senior national team, Super Eagles, chief Paul Hamilton, is dead.
Paul Hamilton’s wife confirmed his death. While speaking to Complete Sport she said, ‘My husband is dead oo’.
In early February, the late Nigerian coach lost his left leg which was amputated at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, due to the injuries he sustained during his playing days.
Paul was in charge of Nigeria’s U-23 team before he was appointed coach of the Super Eagles.He was sacked after the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 1990 FIFA World Cup. He also led the Super Falcons to their first Women’s FIFA World Cup in China in 1991.
