Italian Fashion House, Dolce & Gabbana have launched their first line of Hijabs and Abayas. Frontline Designer Stefano Gabbana proudly broke the news on his Instagram, captioning photos of the collection, “Dolce & Gabbana the Abaya collection ???????? #dgabaya.”
The full collection, which can be seen on Style.com/Arabia, comes in “sheer georgette and satin weave charmeuse fabrics and include[s] copious lace details along hems.”
The Italian fashion house is the latest brand to cater to Muslim women—deemed by Fortune to be “the next untapped fashion market.” According to a report by Thompson Reuters, Muslim women are expected to spend $484 billion on clothing and shoes by 2019.
This is coming after H & M featured their first ever Hijabi model in their campaign.
