Arsenal Football Club brought their title hopes alive as they beat giant Manchester City at the Emirates by 2 goals to 1. and moved within two points from runaway leaders, Leicester City.
It was an excellent evening of Monday Night football at the Emirate Stadium as the gunners proved to the Gunners’ fans that they still have all it takes to get the title, because for the first 75 minutes of the match, Manchester City didn’t know what hit them.
During the first half, goals from Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud gave the Gunners the needed edge. And they dominated the match, all through the first half and part of the second half, until City’s Yaya Toure got his brilliant break, netted a goal and dragged his team back into the game. City shot, pelted and battered Arsenal’s goal post with stunning attempts and for that last fifteen minutes, the Gunners absorbed the pressure.
Now, Arsenal stand a better chance at winning the league, but their second-half season seems a tough one as they will be facing Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham and Manchester City.
