Mercy Johnson-Okojie, the Nollywood actress, has celebrated 15 years of marriage with her husband, Prince Odianosen Okojie, describing their journey as one of love, laughter, partnership, tolerance and trust.
The actress marked the milestone in an Instagram post on Thursday, thanking God for sustaining their relationship through the years.
“I keep writing and deleting, but I am so thankful, Lord,” she wrote.
“Cheers to 15 years of love, laughter, tenacity, partnership, tolerance and trust. The order varies for any given year….”
“Prince Odi Okojie, love you today and always…” she added.
Mercy and Prince Okojie tied the knot in August 2011 and have four children together: three girls and one boy.
The actress has often spoken about her family and her determination to protect her children from experiences she endured while growing up.
In February 2023, Mercy revealed that her difficult childhood shaped the way she relates to and protects her children.
“Because as a child, I suffered so much and I remember crying with nobody to clean my eyes. I can define hunger because I know it. I can define abuse,” she had said.
“So, it is a feeling I do not want any child, not the one that came from me, to go through. My past is the reason why I am so protective of my kids.”
The couple’s 15th wedding anniversary marks another milestone in their marriage, with Mercy reflecting on the years through gratitude and a celebration of the qualities that have sustained their relationship.
