‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day box’ office has crossed $2.2 billion worldwide, bringing Tom Holland’s latest adventure closer to ‘Titanic’. However, current box-office figures show the movie has not yet surpassed Titanic worldwide, despite reports suggesting that milestone.
As of August 27, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ had earned approximately $2.233 billion globally, according to Box Office Mojo. Meanwhile, James Cameron’s ‘Titanic’ remains ahead with approximately $2.265 billion worldwide, leaving Spider-Man roughly $32 million behind.
The latest figures currently place ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ sixth among the highest-grossing movies worldwide, rather than fourth overall. Nevertheless, the superhero blockbuster has delivered an extraordinary theatrical run since arriving in cinemas earlier this summer.
Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, while Zendaya also reprises her role as MJ in the latest Marvel adventure. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the movie has maintained strong international momentum while dominating several consecutive weekends globally.
Additionally, ‘Brand New Day’ recently became the biggest Spider-Man movie ever worldwide, surpassing the previous franchise record. Its domestic performance has also impressed, with the film approaching the historic earnings achieved by ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
Now, the immediate target remains ‘Titanic’, while the film also has ‘Ne Zha 2’ ahead on worldwide rankings.
