Eedris Abdulkareem Steals the Spotlight at AY’s Comedy Show With Surprise Performance

Following their passionate onstage confrontation during a recent comedy event, Nigerian performers Ayo Makun, often known as AY, and rapper Eedris Abdulkareem have given fans something to talk about.

AY made a light-hearted comment about a rapper in the crowd while playing, bringing to mind a notorious incident from the 2004 “Star Mega Jams” performance in which Eedris Abdulkareem allegedly approached American rapper 50 Cent.

AY seemed a little nervous as he told the anecdote, acknowledging that he didn’t enjoy how Eedris was observing him from his audience position.

Things rapidly changed when Eedris rushed onto the stage, took AY’s microphone, and turned the incident into a musical performance.

To the elation of the audience, the DJ started playing Eedris’ 2005 hit song Nigeria Jaga Jaga right away, and the rapper took over.

This encounter followed Eedris Abdulkareem’s appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, in which he disclosed the backstory of his altercation with 50 Cent.

He clarified that the incident happened during a Nigerian Breweries-hosted event in 2004 on the opening day of a performance at Lagos’ Tafawa Balewa Square.

Abdulkareem remembered how P-Square and other Nigerian performers were forcibly removed from the backstage area by 50 Cent and his bodyguards.

A fight nearly broke out because Eedris stood his ground and refused to be intimidated, but a mediator intervened to defuse the situation.

Abdulkareem went on to say that he believes Nigerian Breweries concealed the tumultuous concert events, which included claims of women being groped and other people tragically dying in a stampede.
