Nigerian rapper OdumoduBlvck has sparked massive reactions online after revealing that Afrobeats superstar Davido gifted his girlfriend, simply for being a “real Gee.”
The revelation came shortly after the prestigious Headies Awards, adding another layer of excellence to his career.
Odumodublvck revealed this in a statement made in a recent interview with a radio station in Lagos.
Why Davido gifted my girlfriend ₦10 million
OdumoduBlvck was asked during the interview how he felt after Davido presented the award for the next-rated artist to him.
He said:
“First, shoutout to Davido. He’s my brother. Two days ago, he sent ₦10 million to my girlfriend.”
“He sent it to her for being a real n*gga, and for being part of the success, she did a whole lot of campaign and stuff like that.”
The Industry Machine further went on to talk about how Davido told him some years back that he would win the award.
“Davido told me sometime in 2023 that I would win the next rated, but I was nominated for rookie, and I thank God I was not nominated for next rated then, it was Asake and the likes then. And I knew I was never going to win that.”
“I am someone who never complains about time, I like to follow process, I love going from here to there, seeing 100 streamings turning into 102 streams, so it has not changed me, if at all, where I was in 2016, now I’m 10 times farther.”

OdumoduBlvck replies to trolls over his music style
OSG had earlier reported that social media influencer Mustapha Iskil Gbolahan, better known as Arojinle, recently posted a comment online about OdumoduBlvck’s style of music.
Aronjile, who is known for his outspoken opinions, didn’t hold back, labelling the artist’s sound as uninspired and overrated.
His comments have since ignited mixed reactions across social media, with fans and critics clashing over the validity of his claims.
The unexpected attack has added fuel to ongoing conversations about originality and creativity within the Nigerian evolving music scene.
In response to Arojinle’s backlash, Big Kala, as fondly called, responded with a clip from Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
The 10-second clip video, Fela said:
“Dem go hold meeting, start to yab human beings, animal talk don start again.”
The line meant that they had held a meeting just to criticise his good works
