Wonder how a sitting governor from another one state could get a chieftaincy title from a traditional ruler? Wonder no more it a neigbouring Yoruba states showing appreciation for a son of the land.
The Royal Father, Alaafin of Oyo has awarded governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State with title of Omoluabi of Yorubaland ( meaning โman ofย Virtue of Yorubalandโ).
The award was presented by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III on Tuesday to the Governor.
The new title could be traced to when Aregbesola, who is running second term in office, changed the stateโs slogan from โLand of the Living Springโ to Ipinlo Omoluabi meaning โLand of Virtueโ when he assumed first term in office.
