On Saturday, local farmers in Nigeria congratulated the newly elected President, Asíwájú Bola Tinubu, and expressed their readiness for the agricultural revolution promised in his manifesto.
According to the Zonal Coordinator (North-West) of Agro Commodities Directorate of the APC presidential campaign council, Bello Abubakar, Tinubu’s focus on agriculture during his campaign motivated farmers to vote for him in large numbers.
Abubakar stated, “We are ready for the incoming ‘agbado and cassava’ revolution that he promised in the agricultural revolution. The greatness of this country lies in the farm fields of rural Nigeria.”
He also thanked other Nigerian farmers for their support and urged defeated candidates such as Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi to seek legal means to air their grievances.
