During a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, explained why he has not yet congratulated the President-elect, Bola Tinubu.

Obi revealed that he would contest the process of the presidential election in court and therefore, has not reached out to Tinubu to congratulate him.

Despite being a distant third after the Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar, Obi received 6,101,533 votes in the election while Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged as the winner with 8,794,726 votes.
