Let’s kill Tribalism before it kills us, says Yul Edochie
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

On Saturday, Yul Edochie, a Nollywood actor, stated that it is morally incorrect to claim that Lagos is a no man’s land. He believes that Lagos belongs to the Yorubas and discredits the notion that it is owned by no one.

The actor, in a post titled ‘Let’s kill tribalism before it kills us’ on his verified Instagram page, expressed that he has resided in Lagos since 2011, built a home there and has never experienced any negative treatment or prejudice from the Yorubas.

He compared making such a claim about Lagos to making it about Anambra state, stating that the latter belongs to the Igbo tribe, and that Lagos likewise belongs to the Yorubas. He urged people to avoid tribalism as it could cause significant harm to society. Edochie, who is a proud polygamist, warned against the harmful effects of tribalism.
