The pair of Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, and President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor have reaffirmed their belief that Nigeria would not break up in 2015.
Uduaghan and Oritsejafor expressed their optimism about Nigeria’s unity at the opening of the 2014 Jubilee World Festival of Word of Life Bible Church, in Warri, on Sunday, 9 November.
“No matter the external influence, Nigeria will not break up in 2015. There are predictions that Nigeria will break up in 2015 but Nigeria cannot break up in 2015 but next year is going to be a challenging year. In 2015, a lot is going to happen but, we shall overcome,” Uduaghan said.
The governor also acknowledged the fact that Nigerians are determined to stay together as an entity. He said, “We have decided in Nigeria that we shall be one, all the parties in Nigeria have agreed that Nigeria will not break up.”
Oritsejafor also echoed Uduaghan’s comments, saying that Nigeria would not break up and that the wishes of those who desires the nation’s break up would not be fulfilled. He said, “Nothing can break up Nigeria.”
Uduaghan also commended Oritsejafor and the Word of Life Bible Church for organising the Annual Jubilee Festival which was a convergence of clerics from different parts of the world. He added that the annual festival had brought blessings to Warri, Delta State and Nigeria.
