British boxer, Anthony Joshua knocked out Cameroonian mixed martial artist and boxer, Francis Ngannou in the second round of their heavyweight boxing match tagged ‘Knock Out Chaos’, in Saudi Arabia.
At the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, the British fighter knocked out the Cameroonian twice before a third knockout strike concluded the battle.
The two-time world champion Anthony Joshua was hoping to use the win to build up a possible matchup with WBC champion Tyson Fury, which now appears likely given the way the fight was won.
Ngannou, a former UFC fighter from Cameroon, was standing in just his second boxing match after ultimately losing to Fury.
Joshua would face the winner of the ‘Ring of Fire’ match between English WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Ukrainian WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship.
The professional boxing match between Fury and Usyk is scheduled for Saturday, 18th March, 2024.
