Renowned Nigerian artist, Simisola Kosoko, also known as Simi, has voiced her distress regarding the severe economic challenges plaguing the nation.
The acclaimed singer of the popular track “Duduke” reflected on the daily struggles of her fellow citizens and questioned their resilience in the midst of the prevailing economic turmoil.
Using her official Twitter account on Wednesday evening, she wrote, “Every passing day, Nigeria shatters my heart a little bit more. How are the people managing to endure?”
Nigeria just breaks my heart a little more everyday. How are people surviving?

These comments come in the wake of recent events, including the significant surge in the price of fuel to an unprecedented N612 per litre, following the removal of petrol subsidies by President Bola Tinubu.
This decision has subsequently led to a notable increase in the costs of essential goods and has contributed to an overall rise in the cost of living across the country.
