Former U.N Secretary General, Boutros Boutros Ghali Has Died

The United Nations Security Council has announced the death of a former Secretary General of the Organization, Boutros Boutros Ghali.

Boutros Ghali, an Egyptian diplomat, served as the sixth Secretary General from 1992 to 1996 and presided over one of the most tumultuous periods of the organization’s existence. He was the first African secretary General of the organization and he died at the age of 94 in Gaza.
