Former Chelsea coach, José Mourinho has been in the news afters reports alleged that he wrote a six page letter to the Manchester United boss on why he should be named United’s next manager.
Mourinho has been out of a job since he was sacked by Chelsea last year following a dismal run that saw them hovering around the relegation zone.
The Independent newspaper reported that Mourinho had sent Manchester United a comprehensive missive in a bid to be named head coach.
The current Manchester United Manager, Louis Van Gaal is under considerable pressure as rumors of his impending sack continue to gather momentum.
José Mourinho’s agent, Jorge Mendes has rubbished claims that Mourinho wrote Manchester United a letter.
He called the news report “absolutely ridiculous and totally absurd” in a statement released this morning.
He also added, “It does not occur to anyone that a coach like Jose Mourinho can write letters to clubs offering their services.”
