Project Fame Nomination Show 6: Tribute To The Late Music Legends

The MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 9 showย kicked off with the contestants performing various Naija hit songs: Photocopy by 9ice ft Tuface, Pon Pon Pon byย  Dagrin, Ansawa by Flavor and Lagos Boy by Olamide.

The contestants on probation were presented: Winner, Mirabel, Pere, Yusuf, and Dapo. Pere was saved with the highest number of viewers votes as confirmed by a representative from Alexander Forbes.

Afterwards, each contestant left on probation performed their songs again to be saved. Yusuf kicked started with the songย  Loke-Loke by Sean Tizzle ft 9ice; Oluchi performed Bottom Belle by Omawunmi ft Flavour; Mirabel performed Johnny by Yemi Alade; and lastly Dapo performed “Is It Because I love You” by Lil kesh ft Patoranking.

The judges attested that they all gave wonderful performances but they can only save one of them. After deliberating among themselves, the judges saved Winner. Faculty saved Dapo, and house mates savedย Mirabel, leaving Yusuf and Oluchi evicted.

Legendary Songsย 

Surprisingly, Uncle Ben kicked off the show and performed Fela‘s Water No Get Enemy.ย 

Eli started first and he performed โ€œDifferent Coloursโ€ by South African legend.ย  Lucky Dube. Elizabeth followed with the performance of No Woman No Cry by Bob Marley. Up next was Dapo and he sang Liberian Girl by Michael Jackson.ย Pere performed Searching by OJB jezreel. Winner performed Owiowela by Brenda Fassie. Mirabel performed Where Do Broken Hearts Goย by Whitney Houston. Kitay performed ย What’s Going On by Marvin Gaye, Okiemute performed Rehab by Amy Winehouse

At the end of the show the judges said the were looking for people with a plus in their performance but Eli, Elizabeth, Mirabel, Dapo and Pere were put on probation.
