The implementation of the Economic Sustainability Plan has been proceeded by the Federal Government.
It was contained in a statement from the office of the vice president that the payment of the N30,000 one-time grant to 330,000 artisans is now in progress nationwide.
The spokesman to the vice president, Laolu Akande disclosed that the payments are being given to verified beneficiaries of the artisan’s Support Scheme which is a track under MSMEs Survival Fund.
According to him, they formed the first batch of applications for the scheme submitted within Thursday, October 1 to Saturday, October 10.
The beneficiaries are being drawn from the FCT, Lagos, Abia, Rivers, Ondo, Kaduna, Bauchi, Anambra, Plateau, Kano, Delta states, and Borno.
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo is the head of the committee of the MSME’s Survival Fund Scheme which was developed by the Economic Sustainability Committee in March 2020 by President Muhammadu Buhari.
