It has been revealed that all Governors of the 36 states in Nigeria are expected to publicly take the COVID-19 vaccine on March 10.
This comes after it was revealed that the President, Muhammadu Buhari, the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo and other state officials will be receiving their jabs on March 6.
The agreement for the Governors to publicly get vaccinated was reached at meeting which has the Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce, Boss Mustapha in attendance.
Others who were present at the meeting are Osagie Ehanire who is the Federal Health Minister, and Chikwe Ihekweazu, Tthe director-general of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum who is also the Governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi disclosed the decision in a statement released on March 4.
The NGF chairman assured Nigerians that the vaccine is very safe and also urged them to register on the National Primary Health Care Development Agency website โ nphcsaict.com.ng/publicreg for the vaccine.
