Ghanaian actress and fashion personality Nana Akua Addo has announced her separation from her husband, Harold Norman, weeks after reports of an alleged domestic violence incident and following her appearance at Lagos Fashion Week (LFW).
The announcement comes after reports emerged that Addo, 42, had been hospitalised following an alleged assault by her husband. Viral videos also showed the actress with visible facial injuries.
Addo later acknowledged the incident, stating that the matter was under police investigation.
The Ghana Police Service subsequently disclosed that Norman’s hospitalisation had delayed his arraignment over the alleged domestic abuse.
On Friday, the German-born Ghanaian actress made her first public appearance since the videos circulated, walking the runway at Lagos Fashion Week 2026 as a model for fashion designer Sevòn Dejana.
She appeared emotional as she walked down the runway, bringing the fashion show to a close in a wedding gown.
In an Instagram post accompanying the video of her appearance, Addo explained that the wedding gown symbolised the end of a chapter in her personal life and the beginning of another.
The mother of two described the runway appearance as more than a fashion moment, saying it represented her decision to embrace change and move forward.
“Last night, I walked into my moment and gave the runway a finale to remember. I closed the show in a wedding gown, just as I closed a chapter in my own story,” she wrote.
“Perhaps there is something beautiful about endings, new beginnings and the courage to embrace both. Closing @sevondejana at Lagos Fashion Week 2026 was more than a walk for me. That statement truly had to be made. Some chapters end, but the woman always remains the story.”
