Despite having managed only four wins in 15 league games, Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho, remains confident the blues can recover from their disastrous start to the season and achieve a top four finish.
The Blues sit 14th in the Premier League after 15 games, having won just one of their last six matches.
Mourinho’s men have a mountain to climb, if they are to qualify for the Champions League next season, as they currently sit 14 points behind fourth-placed Manchester United and a further three behind current leaders Leicester City, whom they play on Monday.
Mourinho says his side are refusing to give up on a spot in the top four until it is mathematically impossible.
“It’s not easy any more for the top clubs to win three or four in a row,” he said.
“Because no one is doing that, we have the chance to shorten the lead and dream of a great finish to finish fourth. While it is mathematical possible, we will try.”
