Waheed Bakare, a New Telegraph Editor is dead. Waheed Bakare was said to have died on Sunday evening after a brief illness. This is a great loss to the media industry as the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria said through its president that Waheed Bakare was a thoroughbred journalist who was also devoted to the cause of Islam.

President Muhammadu Buhari has also commiserated with the media industry as he described the editor’s death as a loss to the industry and to the nation as well. We pray that his soul will rest in perfect peace.
