Gal Gadot‘s Wonder Woman made her first appearance in December’s Batman v. Superman trailer and she quickly  she established in just seconds that she is actually the DC universe’s biggest badass.

In the first look at footage from her own film, out June 23, 2017, Wonder Woman confirms this fact.

Chris Pine, the film’s love interest, says, “Telling the story like this now is pivotal and important, the story of a very powerful woman.” The film’s director, Patty Jenkins, says even more: “The greatest thing about Wonder Woman is how good and kind and loving she is, yet none of that negates any of her power.
