Drake has made music history by becoming the first artist to occupy the top three positions on the Billboard 200 albums chart simultaneously, as “Iceman,” “Habibti” and “Maid of Honour” debuted at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
“Iceman,” the album Drake teased for nearly two years, opened at No. 1 with 463,000 equivalent album units, earning the rapper his 15th chart-topping album. The achievement pushes him past Jay-Z for the most No. 1 albums among solo male and R&B/hip-hop artists. Drake also ties Taylor Swift for the most No. 1 albums among solo acts, trailing only The Beatles with 19 chart-toppers.
“Iceman” also marks the second-biggest album debut of 2026 behind BTS’s “Arirang,” which earned 641,000 units. The project now holds the biggest sales week of the year for an R&B/hip-hop release.
Following closely behind were “Habibti” and “Maid of Honour,” which debuted with 114,000 and 110,000 equivalent album units, respectively.
Drake began building anticipation for “Iceman” in July 2025 through his “Iceman” livestream series, where he previewed tracks including “What Did I Miss?” and “Which One” featuring Central Cee.
On the eve of the albums’ release, Drake surprised fans during the fourth “Iceman” livestream by announcing he would release three albums at once before unveiling the covers and dropping all three projects at midnight.
