UK-based sports streaming platform DAZN plans to acquire EverPass Media as it expands its presence in the US sports market.
The deal will give DAZN access to EverPass’ commercial sports network. It will also make RedBird Capital Partners, 32 Equity and TKO Group Holdings minority shareholders in DAZN.
DAZN announced the deal on Wednesday. The company did not disclose the financial terms.
“EverPass Media gives us a proven commercial distribution platform, deep relationships across US venues, and an attractive portfolio of premium rights that perfectly complements our growing US business,” DAZN CEO Shay Segev said.
EverPass distributes live sports to commercial venues such as bars, restaurants and hotels. Its sports portfolio includes the English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Major League Baseball, the NBA and NFL Sunday Ticket.
NFL Sunday Ticket gives viewers access to every live out-of-market Sunday regular-season afternoon NFL game.
Last month, EverPass agreed with DirecTV to distribute NFL Sunday Ticket. The company also has distribution deals with Peacock, Netflix, Paramount Skydance and Apple.
DAZN has stepped up its US expansion in recent months. MSG Networks and YES Network recently moved New York-area teams, including the Knicks and Yankees, to DAZN.
The streamer also became the exclusive streaming home of the Indiana Pacers. It also secured a local media rights deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
RedBird Capital Partners and 32 Equity, the NFL’s investment arm, founded EverPass in 2023. The companies created it to distribute the NFL Sunday Ticket to commercial venues.
DAZN also streams NFL games and college sports outside the US. Its European offerings include the Bundesliga, Serie A and Formula 1.
