Big Brother Naija Season 11 has turned one of the oldest traditions on its head after Chimsom Chuka won the first Head of House (HoH) challenge, while Tram and Sheba secured the coveted HoH lounge.
Chimsom earned the title during Monday’s challenge and secured immunity from this week’s eviction. His victory marked the first major milestone of the Show Ya Self season.
How Chimsom won
Big Brother designed the opening HoH task as a timed obstacle challenge.
Male and female housemates competed separately in the first stage. The fastest contestant from each group advanced to the final round.
The showdown determined both the Head of House and Deputy Head of House.
Chimsom completed the course in the fastest time and emerged winner. Abi finished second and became Deputy Head of House.
Big Brother unveils surprise twist
Big Brother then introduced a rule change that altered one of the biggest rewards attached to the HoH title.
Instead of moving into the luxury HoH lounge, Chimsom had to draw the name of another housemate. The selected housemate would occupy the exclusive accommodation.
The draw picked Tram as the lounge occupant.
Big Brother added another twist by allowing Tram to choose a companion. She selected Sheba to share the privilege.
Immunity for Chimsom, lounge for Tram and Sheba
The outcome split the traditional HoH rewards between different housemates.
Chimsom retained the competition’s key advantage by securing immunity from eviction. Tram and Sheba, meanwhile, gained access to the HoH lounge.
