Chad have announced that they are pulling out of the African Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

Chad were in Group G alongside Nigeria, Egypt and Tanzania and their withdrawal from the tournaments means that all the teams will have points deducted for another point they got off Chad.

Chad gave their reasons for pulling out of the qualifiers as ‘financial restraints’ and it leaves Egypt with 4 points and Nigeria with 2 points.

Nigeria’s reverse encounter away at Egypt on Tuesday has now become a must win for the Super Eagles if they hope to qualify.
