Asake submits ‘M$NEY’, ‘Jogodo’ for 2027 Grammy Awards

Nigerian singer Asake has submitted four entries for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards, including his album ‘M$NEY’ and collaborations with Wizkid and DJ Snake. His record label, Giran Republik, announced the submissions.

The entries cover several categories, including ‘Album of the Year,’ ‘Record of the Year,’ ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Best African Music Performance,’ ‘Best Global Music Album’ and ‘Best Dance Pop Recording’.

The Recording Academy will consider Asake’s album ‘M$NEY’ for ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Best Global Music Album’.

His collaboration with Wizkid, ‘Jogodo’, is up for consideration in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category.

Asake has also submitted ‘Gratitude’ for ‘Record of the Year,’ ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Best African Music Performance’.

Meanwhile, ‘Worship’, his collaboration with French DJ and record producer DJ Snake, will compete for consideration in the ‘Best Dance Pop Recording’ category.

The submissions give Asake another chance to earn a Grammy nomination after two previous attempts.

In 2024, the singer received his first Grammy nomination for ‘Amapiano’, his collaboration with rapper Olamide. The song earned a nod in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category.

Asake returned to the same category in 2025 with ‘MMS’, his collaboration with Wizkid. However, he lost on both occasions.

The Recording Academy has scheduled first-round voting for the 69th Grammy Awards from October 12 to 22. It will announce the nominees on November 16.

The ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on February 7, 2027.
