Oluwatosin Ajibade, the Nigerian singer better known as Mr Eazi, says he released his latest single, ‘Comfort’, to raise money to pay rent for his residence abroad.
The singer made this known during a recent appearance on Okikidft’s Twitch livestream, where he explained that he was still trying to raise money for rent despite his success in music and business.
“I still dey find rent. I wan pay rent, na why I even drop this song. No be my Lagos rent, na for where I dey stay,” he said in pidgin English.
Mr Eazi also disclosed that he lives in a neighbourhood populated by prominent sports personalities, including Formula One figures, tennis players and footballers.

“All of us, we are neighbours. So I fit just dey see Pogba… e dey make me like dey… They are very private people.”
‘Comfort’ is a cross-border Afrobeats and Afro-fusion collaboration featuring Ghanaian singer MOLIY.
The remarks come months after Mr Eazi highlighted his growing business portfolio, revealing that one of his firms processes four million financial transactions daily.
“In the last four years of my career, I have worked as an entrepreneur, focusing on solving this problem of friction in Africa, which acts as a roadblock to making Africa more borderless,” he said.
“I have invested in businesses that are now operating in 19 African countries. One company I am particularly proud of processes four million transactions daily across these countries.”
Mr Eazi co-founded PawaPay, a fintech startup operating in Africa. He also runs EmPawa Music, a record label, and launched Choplife, a betting company, in 2024.
