On-air personality Toolz Oniru-Demuren says her first film as a director will be released before the end of the year.
She announced during an interview on Curiosity Made Me Ask. Toolz said the project marks her first step into filmmaking. She also said she did not act in the movie.
“I was on the radio for a while. Now I host a podcast, and I’m also a filmmaker. It’s my first movie. I’m not in it, but I directed it,” she said.
Toolz said she hopes to release the film before the year ends. She also praised the actors who worked on the project.
“By God’s grace, the movie should be released before the end of the year. It has a fantastic, talented Nigerian cast.”
She did not reveal the film’s title, release date, or the actors featured in it.
Toolz built her career in broadcasting before moving into filmmaking. She hosted The Midday Show on The Beat 99.9 FM. She also interviewed many African entertainers on her talk show, The Juice.
In 2020, The Beat 99.9 FM appointed her acting Programme Director. She left the station in 2022.
