Following an arson in Israel’s West Bank which resulted in the death of an 18 month old Palestinian baby and the death of his father yesterday, Israeli Police have been forced to take action.
Al Jazeera reports that nine Israeli suspected have been arrested today for plotting violence against Palestinians. An Israeli news outlet was quoted as saying, “Following various incidents that occurred in the West Bank recently, Israeli forces have carried out various searches throughout the night and have arrested a few suspects,” the police said in a statement, adding that the crackdown was part of “the investigation into the events that occurred in Duma”.
The death of Saad Dawabsheh and his 18-month-old son Ali has forced the government to look into what many perceive as its tacit approval of violence against Palestinians.
