Reports indicate that there was a bomb blast in the Gwange area of Damaturu, Yobe state. The attack reportedly occurred at around 5 a.m and it is unclear yet as to the casualty figures.
Some sources indicate that a female suicide bomber detonated the explosives and that the Joint Task Force are engaged in a shootout with suspected Boko Haram militants. No official statement or confirmation has been issued by the Security agents or the Yobe state government.
