About General Pype
General Pype discovered music at a tender age and like many others in the industry, started from the church. In secondary school he joined an Acapella group which later grew into the Triumphant Chorale voices. They performed at the Eagle square in Abuja where General Pype delivered a solo performance to usher in the new millennium.
He grew up listening to the likes of Beethoven, Frank Sinatra, Barry White, Don Carlos, Fela, U-Roy, Buju Banton, Barrington Levy and many more. These musical influences grounded him in different genres of music which he has been able to somehow merge beautifully thus creating a style of music with a sound that is peculiar to him.
His singles include Champion, Give it to me, My desire, Dancehall avenue and Victorious man. His collaborations include teaser with MI, Monkey Banana with Sauce kid, Dat Ibo boy with Ill bliss, Scooby Doo with Dj Neptune, Natasha with Dj Sose and many others.
General Pype is currently signed to Obalende Records and is putting finishing touches to his forthcoming album.
