American Singer and Songwriter, Beyonce, has announced the release of her eighth studio album ‘Cowboy Carter’ which is set for March 29th, 2024. The album is a sequel to ‘Renaissance’ released in 2022.
In an Instagram on Tuesday, the singer-songwriter shared a new photo of herself wearing a red, white, and blue outfit, a sash with the inscription ‘Cowboy Carter’, and sitting on a horse while holding up an American flag.
As Beyhives counts down to the album, Beyonce reveals the new album is inspired by the backlash she experienced as a newbie in the Country Music genre.
“This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history, ” Beyonce wrote.
‘Texas Hold Em’ and ’16 Carriages’ featured on ‘Cowboy Carter’ released on February 11th, 2024 made Beyonce the first black woman with the number one single on the Country Song chart.
