Popular Nollywood actress Aisha Lawal shared her harrowing near-death experience during the Ibadan explosion on Tuesday night.
Recounting the incident, she described being in Bodija when the explosion occurred, highlighting how a simple stop for suya near the estate turned into a life-altering moment.
Aisha parked outside Sloggers Club, but moments before the blast, she instinctively moved her car to the Metro Hotel on Osuntokun, moments before the explosion occurred, narrowly escaping the devastation. Haunted by the deafening blast, she expressed gratitude for surviving and questioned the tragic events unfolding around her.
“Alhamdulilah for today, I was at Bodija when the explosion took place, in fact, my ears are still ringing from the effect.”
“Thank God for our lives. I parked to buy suya opposite that Estate but later I moved my car from Sloggers Club to the Metro Hotel on the same Osuntokun when it happened.”
