The New Media Conference is an annual conference that takes place to educate the public about the digital media world, technology trends, and opportunities in the digital economy. It is a renowned platform that brings people from different aspects to come together to discuss more about the digital world.
The first NMC school debate was hosted in June 2017, followed by the second edition in 2022. Both editions have been a great success. Last year’s edition featured impactful Nigerians in their various fields, such as award-winning dancer and choreographer Kaffy Shafau, award-winning Tiktoker Rodney Umeh, and the Communications Manager for Anglophone West Africa at Meta, Sola Obagbemi.

The New Media Conference is now set to host the third edition of its school debate series with the topic: “AI Will Replace Humans” on Friday, November 17th, 2023, at Chalcedony Schools in Lagos State. There are amazing prices for the winners of the debate, which includes the prize for the winning school – A Day visit to Microsoft Headquarter in Ikoyi, N100,000 worth of Digital Literacy courses courtesy of Fast-learn Africa, and cash prize!!

The debate will be moderated by Isabella Adedeji, the founder of Yellow Tamarind Productions who is a passionate advocate for empowering and nurturing the leaders of tomorrow through education and entertainment.
