In his Ramadan message on Thursday, President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu emphasized the importance of unity and progress in Nigeria, calling on all Nigerians to join hands and work towards strengthening the country’s diversity.
Tinubu stated that the success of unity was evident in the lessons of the holy month of Ramadan, and he urged Muslims to remember the country and its leaders in their prayers as they engaged in supplications to Allah. He also urged all Nigerians to emulate Prophet Muhammad’s example of humility, forgiveness, and service to others.
Tinubu highlighted that Ramadan was more than just a month of fasting and that it was an opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Allah and become better servants of both Allah and our fellow man. He emphasized that this month should involve imbibing the spirit and true meaning behind the holy month, which includes sacrifice, self-discipline, goodwill, justice, tolerance, mercy, compassion, and generosity.
Tinubu concluded by wishing all Muslims in Nigeria and around the world a Ramadan Mubarak, and he expressed his hope that this holy month would bring us all closer to Allah, with our fasting and prayers accepted. Tinubu also hoped that this holy month would be a time of peace, unity, and harmony in Nigeria and for all humanity.
