Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Serie A club Napoli and the Nigeria national team, Victor James Osimhen has tested positive for coronavirus, his Italian club Napoli confirmed on Friday evening.
Victor was seen flouting protocol and publicly partying in Nigeria few days before his return to Italy where he tested positive for Coronavirus.

He is currently asymptomatic and is isolating back at the club but his club plans on hitting him with heavy financial fines as a result of his actions.
“The club can confirm that Victor Osimhen has tested positive for COVID-19 following his return to Italy. Osimhen is currently asymptomatic and has not come into contact with the rest of the squad.” Napoli said in a statement.

The positive test could rule him out of the Italian Super Cup against Juventus on January 20 in Reggio Emilia.
