South African Government Deny Xenophobic Attacks On Nigerians

The South African government have denied the reports that their citizens are carrying out Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians.

This was made the country’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Bobby Monroe, as he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, in Abuja this morning.

He mentioned that the recent attacks were not xenophobic in nature but were ‘sporadic acts of violence’. He also added that businesses belonging to other South Africans were affected in the violence that erupted yesterday Monday, September 2nd.
