2018 has been a year for heavy hitters at the box office.
And we should have guessed with the success of Black Panther that opened the curtains early on, and eventually grossed over $1.4 billion worldwide. Black Panther is now the highest-grossing MCU film domestically, and the third-highest worldwide.
For the rest of the year, greatness after greatness were churned out and the world repaid the director’s effort by watching. The result is a record-breaking year for even A-listers like Dwayne Johnson, Tom Cruise, Ryan Reynolds and Tom Hardy who all broke some of their personal records.

Black Panther become the third highest grossing film of all time. Incredible 2 beat the long standing feat of The Lion Story to become the highest grossing animated film of all time. Avengers: Infinity War also became the fourth highest grosing film of all time, just behinf Black Panther.
