Kanye West has announced he wants to be formally known as “YE”
Announcing the change the change of name on Twitter, he said: “The being formerly known as Kanye West.
“I am YE.”

Kanye has been called the moniker for some time and even used the name for the title of his eighth studio album that was released in June.
The 41 year-old made the announcement ahead of his appearance on Saturday Night Live, where he launched his new album, Yandhi.
The name ye, which Kanye, once said the name holds a religious meaning to him, is an abbreviation of his name.
“i believe “ye” is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible it means ‘you,:” West said earlier this year.
“So I’m you, I’m us, it’s us. It went from Kanye, which means the only one, to just Ye – just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confused, everything. The album is more of a reflection of who we are.” He concluded
