Once Again Uti Nwachukwu brought Christmas Cheer to the IDP Camp located in the Uhogua Community in Benin City, Edo State, housing widows and children displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria.
This year Marks the 6th Year of The Uti Leads the stars annual Charity Event and the 7th year of Utis charitable works.
Just like last year, Uti Nwachukwu (#UtiLeadsTheStars) once again collaborated with the Senior Pastor, CGMi Church Unusual, Rev. Mrs. Laurie Idahosa (#LauriesIDPChallenge) and Thankfully it was a HUGE Success.
Uti Nwachukwu has always stated that his intention is to continue to help foster encouragement and hope amongst the IDPs by assisting the camp administration in providing necessary aid and awareness.
Giving Back has always been his way of honoring God’s instructions to remember the widows and orphans.
This year Uti was accompanied by Big Brother Africa and Gulder Ultimate Search Runner Up, Melvin Oduah, Fitness Guru Christopher Idowu, The Edo state Honorable commissioner for women’s affairs, some notable Politicians and behind the scenes organizer, Mrs. Joy Sillo.
Uti and his team did a remarkable Job by providing brand new clothing materials to widows as well as educational items and food to children in the camp.
Once Again Mrs. Idahosa’s drive supplied the volunteer workforce, logistics and a well-balanced meal for the growing 2,400 residents of the camp.
The missionaries, widows, and children in the camp were ecstatic and the aura of Happiness and Joy was undeniable as they had been promised a return visit by Uti this year.
Uti Nwachukwu said : ” This year I made sure to fulfil my promise to the children and widows and i was extremely grateful when Rev Idahosa was excited to have me return.
The partnership with #Lauriesidpchallenge has been a humbling and blessed experience. Just to see the smiles on the faces of these young ones is more than Enough reward.
As usual the Reason I put this out is to show our transparency and credibility so that our donors can see how their monies are being used and also to encourage more people to come forth with their own donations.
