A few months ago The Voice Nigeria came to TV screens in Nigeria and other parts of Africa, and after an exciting live finale, A’rese emerged the first ever winner! Shortly after this Smooth 98.1FM announced to us that A’rese would be performing at its upcoming music concert “A Night at The Kazbah”.
Yesterday she went on Instagram to talk about how excited she is to be performing at “A Night at The Kazbah”, her first live music concert.
A’rese will be opening for soulful house trio Mi Casa and headline performer South African singer songwriter and guitarist Jonathan Butler.
For those who don’t know a lot about her and are asking themselves, “who is A’rese?” Here are 3 quick facts about this beautiful soulful vocal powerhouse:
- A’rese developed her passion for performing from an early age. She is classically trained in piano, flute, and dance (ballet, modern jazz and aerial)
- In the course of her career, A’rese has been cast in several musical theatre productions in the US and Nigeria. She most recently starred in BAP Productions’ ‘Wakaa the Musical’.
- Her rendition of Adele’s ‘Skyfall’ on The Voice Nigeria was her first big step towards herself discovery as an individual music artist.
