Tiwa Savage in South Africa to help victims of child trafficking.

The Marvin queen, Tiwa Savage, is in South Africa where she met with the country’s Honorable Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Malusi Gigaba, and she was taken to the House Group, a home housing young girls who had been rescued from child trafficking.

Tiwa Savage, who shared her experience after witnessing the strength and courage displayed by these young women, wrote:

“Even though I was supposed to give these beautiful young ladies words of encouragement I ended up being more inspired by them. They said they didn’t want to be seen as victims but as conquerors because the fact that they are still alive proves that God is not done with them yet. Meanwhile, the mother-of-one was awarded the Hero Of The Month by reelafrican.

She exclaimed her excitement, “Yesterday I was presented with the “Hero Of the Month” Award by the lovely people @reelafrican … It was such an honor to receive this and it really means a lot to me. Making music is just part of my story. Touching lives and using my platform to make a change no matter how little is ultimately the goal and this award just reminds me of how important that is. A huge thank you to @matthewmensah you’ve been such a sweetheart and an incredible help to me #ILoveSA #siyabonga #RED?”
