29 year old Tennis Champion, Rafael Nadal has disclosed that he will sue a former French minister of Sports, Roselyne Bachelot over her comments accusing him of doping.
Nadal, who has had to insist that he’s clean over the years has been dogged by poor form and has struggled since 2015. Roselyne Bachelot said Nadal’s absence in 2012 was “probably due to a positive doping test”.
Bachelot’s comments came while she was addressing Maria Sharapova’s drug test and said that most tennis players quit for prolonged period to try to hide positive drug results.
Nadal’s response to her comments has been swift. “A minister of France should be serious,” he said. “This time is the time to go against her. We are going to sue her.
“This is going to be the last one, because I’m going to sue her. I am tired about these things. I let it go a few times in the past. Not any more.”
