Former Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho has reportedly opened talks with Manchester United to take over from Louis Van Gaal as head coach.
Jose Mourinho was sacked by the Chelsea board in December after what will go down as the worst Premier league title defense in history.
Current Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has increasingly found his position under threat after a less than convincing showing this season.
His position has not been helped by rivals Manchester City announcing the signing of Pep Guardiola.
Mourinho has had his eye on the Manchester United job and was said to have been disappointed not to have been named Ferguson’s successor.
He was alleged to have written a six page letter to United explaining his reasons why he believes he’ll be perfect for the job.
Although Manchester United has refused to confirm it, negotiations are said to have begun with Mourinho with a view to naming him Manager at the end of the season.
