Review – The Lancôme Genifique Nutrics Nourishing Youth Activating Cream
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

During the dry Harmattan season, one of the things that I discovered about my skin is that it sincerely cannot handle the same skin care routine that I adopt during the majority of the year.

As such, I look for skin care products that will help keep my skin moisturized and supple, and prevent my skin from feeling cold and dry.

This product was especially great for me, as I have combination skin – that is, dry cheeks combined with an oily T-zone and forehead.  With my skin being the combination skin type, I also find that oftentimes the oily areas of my face get more aggressive about producing oil, but the skin texture is somehow still dry underneath the oiliness.

Basically, it can be a bit of a mess.

When I received the Lancôme Genifique Nutrics cream, I initially thought that it would be just as useful to me as the Lancôme Genifique serum, which I had really liked.  However, as time went on, I found myself reaching for the cream much more – even without the serum; the cream has been great at making my skin feel soft and supple.

Just to talk about some elements of the cream:

Packaging:

As with many of the Lancome Genifique products, this comes in a black box with the signature rose on the top.  The cream comes in a very pretty glass jar.  There is a leaflet giving additional information about the product, as is standard in most products.

Product:

The cream itself is peach in colour, and feels as luxurious as it looks. It is light, and makes my skin feel quite supple.  I also like using this as at night especially, as the nighttime is when skin does most of its repair work.

The cream absorbs quite easily into my skin, and makes my skin feel quite hydrated after I use it.  The tight feeling that I typically get during drier periods is drastically reduced in comparison to some of the other creams and lotions that I have used.

Overall, I could not be more pleased with this cream; it definitely one of the nicest items that I have used on my skin.

The product is available in Essenza store at the Palms mall, V.I
